Commissions!

0 min read
Hi! I noticed my old post about commissions was, well, old. Here's the new line I mainly go by when it comes to commissions: Rates vary generally between $50-$150 per image, depending much on the complexity, colours, inked or not and other details. I will not give very specific rates since what is wanted/required varies so much between individuals. Some small, quick sketches can go for lower amounts but mainly my rates are around $50 and up since people don't usually order anything quick and simple. :D If you'd like to commission me just send me a note and we'll talk more on the details! :)

Happy <late> Birthday! ! ! ! ! ! !

Thank you for faving :-)

With your permission I take the opportunity to present myself and make a proposal: I´m Xurxo Avila, a spanish actor, director, writer and producer. I have a horror script that I have not been able to shoot and I was thinking of turning it into a graphic novel for IMAGE COMICS -WE ALL WORK FOR MONEY- with the collaboration of one of my best friends, the USA`s editor and colorist JOSÉ VILLARRUBIA. I have seen your drawings and would you like to draw the story? I really like your style very much, I think it would go very well to the story and I think we could create a unique and fascinating horror story. I hope I didn't bother you with the proposal. The idea is to draw 6 scenes from the script (he told me that it is the usual number when you send it to any American comic book publisher), send them along with the same script and a lot of things that I have more (you can see some of them on my page, in the folder entitled: "CINEMA" : art concepts, posters,...) to the publisher and see if they like it and get us to work. If you want I pass the script to you, you read it, and you tell me. Greetings.

I see you haven't posted since last year. You good?

Yes, just fine. Simply got a lot of commission work that really isn't worth uploading here and not much in terms of personal work in the meantime. That said I've been slowly finishing a couple of really nice personal pieces(five starting pages for a comic project, one GC double feature cross-section and some other assorted smaller stuff) that should be done pretty soon. Mainly this lack of uploads is an issue with my ever- increasing standard of quality on what I think is good enough to upload really.

Also, it's ballista season so I've been busy fixing and making them ready for firing tests.

Glad to hear you're still in business and that business is good!
