High above the dunes of Meyer's Waystation, a terraforming colony, the AISC Deepspace Horizon releases a few Overseer-class light carriers from its drydock for planetary defense before continuing on to its next destination...

Here's a little something I've had in the works for some time now since I wasn't sure if it is even worth finishing. Decided to finish it anyway even if it was just to practice painting backgrounds.

In the picture we have the AISC Deepspace Horizon, a massive carrier/bombardment platform deployed by the military conglomerate Ares Enterprises. Central in the pic is the large rotating section which houses drydocks, shuttle docking ports and all the equipment a massive invasion army would need. You can actually spot a few shuttles leaving dock just left of the section- the little white specks against the red sands below. The shuttles themselves are not small, so maybe that gives some estimate of the scale of things here, hence "Cities in the sky".
